ALGAplus honourable mention at awards March 8, 2019
ALGAplus product Tok de Mar, canned sardines (boneless and skinless) with organic olive oil and seaweed (Ulva rigida and Fucus vesiculosus) won an honourable mention in the Food and Nutrition Awards competition, along with known and established brands in the Portuguese market. ALGAplus certified organic Atlantic seaweeds, including Ulva rigida were voted as the visitors´ favourite ingredient at the Food Matters Live Awards 2018, which took place 20-22nd November 2018 in London.
ALGAplus, one of our GENIALG partners, produces customised seaweed and seaweed-based products mainly for the food and well-being markets. All seaweed production phases are carried out in-house: biomass production in a land-based modular IMTA system, processing (washing, drying, cutting, milling) and packaging.
