Mexico Trial Biogas Production from Seaweed Energy January 20, 2020

A laboratory in Mexico has developed a prototype system that converts seaweed into biogas. When a fungus is mixed with sargassum seaweed, the fungus breaks down the lignin in the seaweed generating biomethane which could possibly be used as a fuel source for cooking, heating or even electricity.
